Sotheby's: The Collection of the Margraves and Grand Dukes of Baden (Die Sammlung der Markgrafen und Großherzöge von Baden), Auction 5 - 21 October 1995, Catalogue Vol. IV, Lot No. 1957.
The inventory of the gallery inspector Richter from 1919 lists the objects in the Zähringer Museum that were in the rooms of the Kavalierbau in the Grand Ducal New Palace in Baden-Baden. The Richter inventory lists those art objects listed with Karl Koelitz (inventory from 1883) that were transferred to the New Palace in Baden-Baden after the separation of assets of the Grand Ducal House and the Baden State in 1919.
Under inventory no. 1276, Richter noted the above medallion, formerly from a bracelet, which was given to the gold collection centre in 1918.
